Sharjah Coop distributes ‘Ramadan Meer’, at a cost of 7 million Dirhams  In coordination with the charitable institutions and entities in the country, and in conjunction with the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, Sharjah Coop started distributing Ramadan Meer in the form of various food baskets to enable beneficiary families through providing food assistance.  His Excellency Majid Salem Al Junaid, CEO of Sharjah Coop, extended his thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, for his continuous support, and to His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler Emirate of Sharjah on their continuous follow-up.  His Excellency Majid Al-Junaid explained that this initiative comes in line with the directives of the rational leadership and the directives of Sharjah Cooperative Board of Directors in providing cooperative service to various groups of the society, to enhance the cooperative work position and achieve its human mission in supporting social solidarity and contributing to the society by covering the largest number possible of those who need help the most.  Al-Junaid added that coordination has been made with charitable and humanitarian institutions in the country, with the aim of providing all essentials that families need, lending a hand to them and easing the burdens on them, through providing supplies of food and non-food items in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, praising the fruitful cooperation from charitable institutions and organizations efforts in coming together through these uncertain times.  The CEO of Sharjah Coop stated that the number of families benefiting from this project reached more than 15 thousand families, and the baskets will include more than 35 items of essentials, with a total value of up to 7 million Dirhams, ensuring that Sharjah Coop continues its efforts to support the community and works on achieving this through cooperation and coordination with the various authorities in the country.
